Previously
rated 3.5 stars by Golf Digest, The
Links at Carillon was recently given aFour stars and rated as one of
Chicagoland's top public golf courses by Chicagoland
Golf magazine. The White Course, one of three nine-hole tracks at the
course, is home to one of the Chicago area's most recognizable holes, the
528-yard par-5 ninth that is commonly referred to as the gauntlet. The hole was
included in Chicagoland Golf magazine's
"Dream 18," a list that chronicles the most outstanding golf holes in the twelve-county
region. In 2008, The Links at Carillon was pleased to welcome back the Chicago White Sox and the "Field of Greens" golf outing. Clearly, this premier 27-hole public golf facility is by no means hidden.
The Links at Carillon consists of three-nine hole courses playable in three 18-hole combinations and features Bent grass fairways, large undulating greens and five different sets of tees. The course has consistently been among Golf Digest's "Places to Play." In addition to the top-rated golf course, The Links Learning Center is second to none. From an impeccable driving range to an area solely designated to chipping and putting, the practice facilities at The Links provide golfers with all the necessities needed for a proper practice session. The course is located just 30 minutes from the Loop, and is a quick drive to the Oak Brook, Naperville and Joliet areas. Check out the courses' Web site (www.carillongolf.com) to book tee times online, learn about the latest specials and a player loyalty program that offers even bigger savings.
