Cog Hill's Dubsdread CourseCog Hill Golf and Country Club's Dubsdread, a Jemsek-owned golf facility and home course of the PGA Tour's BMW Championship, is ranked No. 45 among the 2009-10 Golf Digest "America's 100 Greatest Public Golf Courses." This is Cog Hill's 18th appearance on this prestigious list.

"This is one of the industry's most prominent rankings of golf courses and it is a great honor to once again be ranked in the top 50 of the greatest public courses in America," said Frank Jemsek , CEO, Cog Hill Golf and Country Club. "Since opening Dubsdread in 1965, we have provided golfers with one of the best daily-fee experiences in the country. And now this experience will be enhanced with the new renovations to the course."

After undergoing a $5 million renovation by renowned golf course architect Rees Jones, Dubsdread will reopen next month. The original routing of the award-winning Dubsdread remains intact. The comprehensive renovation upgraded the course's features and restored the strategy, design integrity and overall character inherent in the work of original architects Dick Wilson and Joe Lee. Average golfers will continue to enjoy the beauty and playability of this traditional style golf course while the best players in the world will encounter a challenging, but fair, test.

"America's 100 Greatest Public Courses" list appears in Golf Digest's May issue. The rankings were determined by more than 900 panelists who played and rated courses on seven criteria ̶ shot value, resistance to scoring, design variety, memorability, aesthetics, conditioning and ambience.

Cog Hill Golf and Country Club is one the premier public golf facilities in Chicago. Located in Lemont, Ill., Cog Hill features 72 holes of championship golf, a year-round learning center, and a newly-renovated 35,000-square-foot clubhouse. Dubsdread is the home of the PGA Tour's BMW Championship. For information on Cog Hill, call 866.264.4455 or visit www.coghillgolf.com
