After more than a century as an elite private club, Ravisloe Country Club has joined the ranks of Chicago’s upscale daily-fee golf courses. Opened to the public this spring, Ravisloe is a classic parkland-style layout redesigned to reflect the artistry and unique vision of legendary architect Donald Ross, who renovated the course nearly 100 years ago.

This par-70 18-hole championship-caliber golf course spreads out over 160 acres and features tree-lined fairways, distinctive well-defined bunkers and expansive greens. The design truly embodies the spirit of the game, placing a premium on shot-making ability and mental dexterity.

Don’t be deceived by Ravisloe’s modest length of 6,281 yards from the tips. Golfers will need to be well versed in every aspect of the game to navigate the hazards scattered throughout the course that include fairway bunkers, fescue grasses and fallaway slopes created to magnify mistakes around the greens; a trademark trait of Ross courses.

Ravisloe is located on the South Side of Chicago and is the centerpiece of the Homewood community. The course is easily accessible from much of the greater Chicagoland area and is just steps away from the Homewood Metra station, making it possible to commute to the course by train.
