Each of the two courses designed by Al Humphrey in the late ‘60s is 4-Star rated in Golf Digest’s Places-to-Play, and each offers unique challenges. The East Course is a bit more target-oriented than the West with water in-play on all 18 holes. There’s great variety here, the par-3s offering you the chance to hit four different clubs off the tees. The par-5 13th is one of the most unique with a carry over a creek off the tee, then another forced carry on the approach. The finishing stretches on each nine should provide the toughest scoring opportunities.
The West Course has water on 10 holes, yet is considered a bit more player-friendly than the East. Most holes offer plenty of opportunity to bump the ball up onto smallish greens with mild undulations. The three holes at the turn, the eighth, ninth and tenth, are rated among the five most difficult on the course.
